Kara Messenger
Pelvic Health Physiotherapist
Kara Messenger is the new owner of Kingston Pelvic Health and a dedicated pelvic health physiotherapist with a strong commitment to enhancing her patients' quality of life. She graduated from Western University in 2012 with an Honors Bachelor of Medical Sciences and went on to complete her Master of Science in Physical Therapy at Queen’s University in 2016. Initially working as an orthopedic physiotherapist, Kara soon developed a keen interest in women’s health. In 2018, she completed advanced Pelvic Floor training (Levels 1-3), equipping her with the expertise to assess and treat a range of conditions, including urinary incontinence, pelvic organ prolapse, and pelvic pain in both men and women.
Since then, Kara has continuously expanded her knowledge and skills through specialized training in areas such as Pregnancy & Pelvic Girdle Pain, Diastasis Rectus Abdominis, Caesarean Birth, Bowel Pathology & Function, Electrical Stimulation for Pelvic Health, and Pelvic Health Care for Trans & Gender Diverse People. She is also certified in Pessary Fitting, offering additional support for patients experiencing pelvic organ prolapse. Furthermore, Kara has completed additional courses in Soft Tissue Release, Acupuncture, and K-Taping.
As part of the Kingston Pelvic Health team, Kara is excited to continue learning and refining her expertise, working closely with Cindy Auchincloss in mentorship. Outside of the clinic, Kara enjoys traveling, swimming, hiking, and spending quality time with family, friends, and her Australian Shepherd.
